Aquila and Priscilla’s
Reflections on the Third Gospel
These are Reflections on the Gospel of Luke that hopefully will inspire and encourage its readers to strive to develop, with God’s grace, a personal relationship with the very person proclaimed by Luke in his Gospel, our Lord Jesus Christ.
The book is divided into four parts corresponding to major divisions of the Gospel of Luke. Part I — In Bethlehem, which comprises the first two chapters, contains reflections of two verses that are found in the so-called “Infancy Narratives” of the Gospel of Luke. Part II — Journey to Jerusalem is the longest section of the book comprising 14 chapters from chapter 3 to chapter 16. The verses are taken from Luke’s “Travel Narrative”. Part III — In Jerusalem has two chapters comprising reflections on verses from the “Passion Narratives”. And Part IV — Road to Emmaus has a single chapter on a verse taken from the “Resurrection Narrative”. The book, however, covers the entire life of Jesus, from his birth in Bethlehem, to his journey from Galilee to Jerusalem, to his passion and death in Jerusalem, and to his appearance to the two disciples on the road to Emmaus after his resurrection.
