Reflections of Aquila and Priscilla

Reflections of Aquila and Priscilla comprises three parts: reflections on work with the poor; reflections on mission ad gentes, and reflections on Psalm 23. These parts are interrelated. The first two parts are reflections on two types of poverty – material poverty and spiritual poverty. Helping the materially poor and proclaiming the Gospel to the spiritually poor are the means given to us to find the treasure. They are the means available to us to reach the end that God has willed for us – to dwell in his house forever. Jesus, our watchful Shepherd on earth and gracious Host in heaven, is the treasure. He is the beginning and the end.

The purpose of this book is to inspire the readers to be generous to the materially poor and to be courageous in proclaiming the Gospel to those who have not heard or known Christ; and thus find their way, guided by the Good Shepherd, to the Father’s house.
