About the authors of
The Letters of Aquila and Priscilla
Jun and Jean Uriarte’s journey together is a beautiful testament to faith, family, and service. Jun earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees at the University of the Philippines and later pursued his Ph.D. at Carnegie Mellon University in the United States. Jean also completed her B.S. and M.S. (credits) at the University of the Philippines. Their shared commitment to learning and excellence laid a strong foundation for their life together.
Married on September 8, 1968, Jun and Jean have been blessed with five children and eight grandchildren who bring joy and meaning to their lives. Their faith journey deepened when they joined Couples for Christ (CFC) in 1992, embarking on a mission to build and strengthen CFC communities across the globe, including in Myanmar, Laos, Hungary, Cambodia, Indonesia, and Thailand.
Jun’s leadership within CFC has been exemplary. He served as a member of the CFC International Council from 2011 to 2015 and now again from 2023 to 2025. He also chairs the CFC Institute and has been a long-standing member of the CFC Board of Elders. Together, Jun and Jean continue to inspire others through their unwavering dedication to God, their family, and the CFC mission.
