Vol 12 Issue 1
Live as the Lord has assigned
1 Cor 7:17
Dear brothers and sisters,
After a long gap (the last issue was in Oct 2012), we are pleased to share with you the first issue of Letters of Aquila and Priscilla in 2015. We have finally found the time again to write our reflections after completing my 4-year service as a member of the CFC International Council and after having been replaced as Chairman of the CFC Institute after only a year in service. My current service in CFC is as Moderator (chairman) of the new Board of Elders - the advisory body of our community composed of former members of the International Council.
During this long gap, we have been asked by many when Letters of Aquila and Priscilla will again come out. With God's grace, we hope to share with you these Letters on a monthly basis as before.
We pray that the Holy Spirit will touch your hearts through these Letters, and may His Spouse, the Blessed Mother, bring you ever closer to her Son, Jesus, for the glory of the Father.
With our love and prayers,
JUN and JEAN

Of her was born Jesus
Mt 1:16
Dear brothers and sisters,
We are sending the December 2015 issue of Letters of Aquila and Priscilla a little bit earlier than usual before we all get too preoccupied with activities related to the long Christmas and New Year holidays.
We are all aware of the real reason for Christmas - the coming into the world of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Christmas, therefore, is all about Jesus. But it is also about Mary, his mother. But if it is also about Mary, then by extension, it is also about the couple who brought Mary into this world, her parents, St. Joachim and St. Anne, the grandparents of Jesus.
And so this Christmas, let us give some time to reflect about this holy couple, the grandparents of our Lord and Savior, and in so doing honor all the grandparents, many of whom, even at their advanced age, still have to support and care for not only their children but also their grandchildren.
Merry Christmas from us who are also grandparents 8 times over.
With our love and prayers,
JUN and JEAN

Do not deprive each other
1 Cor 7:5
Dear brothers and sisters,
We are pleased to share with you the September 2015 issue of Aquila and Priscilla. We have been making additions and corrections to our mailing list which took quite some time, and so the delay in the sending out of this issue.
In this September issue, we continue our reflection on our marriages ... our Christian vocation ... our path to holiness ... our means to enter heaven. May we all be inspired by these words and strive to make our own marriages as such.
We pray that the Holy Spirit will touch your hearts through these Letters, and may His Spouse, the Blessed Mother, bring you ever closer to her Son, Jesus, for the glory of the Father.
With our love and prayers,
JUN and JEAN

Will he find faith on earth?
Luke 18:8
Dear brothers and sisters,
We are pleased to share with you the October 2015 issue of Aquila and Priscilla. In this October issue, we continue our reflection on our marriages ... our Christian vocation ... our path to holiness ... our means to enter heaven. May we all be inspired by these words and, like Luigi and Maria, continue to nurture God’s gift of faith in us so that when Christ asks, “Will I find faith on earth?”, we can answer “Yes”.
We pray that the Holy Spirit will touch your hearts through these Letters, and may His Spouse, the Blessed Mother, bring you ever closer to her Son, Jesus, for the glory of the Father.
With our love and prayers,
JUN and JEAN

Vol 12 Issue 4
Mary has chosen the better part
Lk 10:42
Dear brothers and sisters,
We continue our reflection on marriages that have been blessed to become the couples’ way to holiness. In this November issue, we reflect on the lives of Sts. Isidore and Maria Torribio, a couple who was beatified and canonized individually and separately. Isidore was a simple farmer and Maria a simple housewife. They simply loved and served God as a team in the farm, in their home, in their church and in their community.
We pray that the Holy Spirit touch your hearts through these Letters. May the Lord bless us as couples, that our marriage be our path to heaven, and like St. Martha be able to serve the Lord while also like St. Mary choose the better part.
With our love and prayers,
JUN and JEAN
